The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max brings two 200MP Leica cameras together with a 6.9-inch privacy display and a separate 2.9-inch rear screen. Its 2nm Snapdragon platform and 8,500 mAh typical battery support a phone built around photography, extended use, and flexible screen interactions. Two high-resolution Leica cameras

The 200MP main camera pairs a 1/1.28-inch Light Hunter 960L sensor with a bright f/1.67 lens and optical stabilization. A separate 200MP periscope camera provides 3.2× optical zoom and focuses as close as 12 cm, while the 50MP ultrawide adds autofocus and 5 cm macro capability. These three perspectives let you move from broad scenes to details without treating digital cropping as optical zoom.

Rear-camera recording extends to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps. The rear display can help frame selfies with the main camera system. Legendary Moment imaging uses uploaded sensor data for cloud processing; the advertised 75 mm lens simulation follows Xiaomi’s late-September OTA schedule rather than being assumed available on every initial software build.

A privacy display and a useful second screen

The main AMOLED panel combines 2624 × 1208 Super Pixel resolution with hardware privacy control. Its app-specific privacy features cover supported applications and pages, so availability depends on the installed software. Both screens support adaptive refresh up to 120Hz and full-range DC dimming, with a stated multi-scene peak brightness of 4,000 nits.

On the back, a 2.9-inch display provides camera preview and application cards without turning the phone around. AI customization can create different results from the same prompt, and the custom-avatar feature follows Xiaomi’s announced OTA rollout. The screen is also a visual distinction between the standard finishes and the transparent design.

Performance with room for large files

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 uses a fourth-generation Oryon CPU rated up to 5GHz, alongside Adreno graphics and Qualcomm’s AI Engine. LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage accompany Xiaomi’s loop liquid cooling system. Choose a verified pair of physical RAM and internal storage rather than relying on virtual-memory figures.

Battery capacity and charging choices

An 8,500 mAh typical battery supports 100W Xiaomi wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Maximum wired charging requires a Xiaomi 100W charger, while wireless charging requires a compatible Xiaomi set of at least 50W, sold separately. Up to 100W PPS provides another option with a compatible charger; 27W wired reverse charging and wireless reverse charging can supply compatible accessories.

Configurations and regional details

The Storage choices are 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB; the first figure is RAM and the second is internal storage. Black, White, Ice Peach Pink, and Galaxy Blue are available with each pair. Transparent Edition is limited to 16GB/1TB. This PDAPlaza listing uses the standard phone package, without the optional pocket-guitar bundle or manufacturer-store service promotions.

This CN version has two Nano-SIM slots, but supported bands do not guarantee service with every carrier. Dual-active operation and some 5G bands have carrier or software requirements detailed below. The included cable does not support USB 3 data speeds. NFC transit, payment, access-card, and car-key functions depend on supported services and vehicles.

Identity and configurations

Model and market: Xiaomi 18 Pro Max; Chinese-market version.
RAM / internal storage: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. The first capacity is physical RAM; the second is internal storage.
Colors and availability by configuration: Black, White, Ice Peach Pink, and Galaxy Blue are offered with all four listed RAM/storage pairs. Transparent Edition is offered only with 16GB/1TB, in the standard phone package.
Memory technology: 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM; 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB UFS 4.1 internal storage.
Usable capacity: Available RAM and storage are lower than the stated capacities because the operating system and preinstalled software occupy part of them.

Design and protection

Dimensions and materials: 163.39 × 77.6 mm. Black, White, and Ice Peach Pink have a fiberglass back and are 8.39 mm thick. Galaxy Blue and Transparent Edition have a glass back and are 8.47 mm thick.
Device weight: 235 g for Black, White, and Ice Peach Pink; 240 g for Galaxy Blue and Transparent Edition.
Water and dust resistance: IP68 under GB/T 4208-2017. Xiaomi tested the phone in still fresh water at a depth of 6 m for 30 minutes, with no more than a 5°C difference between water and device temperature. It is not a professional waterproof phone; resistance can diminish with wear. Do not charge while wet. Liquid damage is excluded from Xiaomi’s warranty.

NFC

Setup and access: Activate supported services in the Wallet app; double-press the power button to access transit cards, Mi Pay, door cards, and car keys. These Chinese-market services depend on supported cities, banks, cards, terminals, and vehicle models.
Transit cards: Supports more than 300 cities and free transfer of more than 40 transit-card types from an old phone. City coverage depends on technical and local conditions; terminal acceptance and fares depend on local authorities and operators.
Mi Pay: Online app payments, in-store card payments, QR payments, and UnionPay tap-tag payments. UnionPay-standard QR codes support scan-to-pay and merchant scanning; supported Alipay and WeChat merchant QR codes can be scanned.
Door cards: Physical access cards, smart door locks, community access cards, and custom blank cards. Only 13.56MHz access cards can be emulated; emulation does not reproduce bank, transit, or stored-value payment functions.
Car keys: NFC locking, unlocking, and engine starting on supported vehicles; supported partner models vary.
